Crafty Lori

I don't remember being "crafty" early on in my life, but I have been so for many years now. Always on the lookout for new and old crafts alike to enjoy in my spare time.
Here is a great book I found in my thrift store shopping. I really do have a good eye for finding great books on their shelves.
Crafts for Everyone, Volume 2, Louis V. Newkirk, LaVada Zutter, 1951.

Sharing some projects from the book: Patchwork Apron

Yarn Dolls

Shell Jewelry

Catch-All Bag

Wire Party Dolls

Christmas Tree

Now I am on a mission to find a copy of Volume 1 - Wish me luck!!

The patchwork apron pattern is just like several vintage aprons I have. I remember the little yarn and wire dolls and haven't we all seen those little "dress" catch-all bags? Very interesting. You should try alibris.com for your volume 1. I will look for it too. Love T

Oh my! I stopped by to say how much I enjoyed your story on my Giveaway post, I adore that you love your sisters so much, and find just the perfect posting for me! I have printed off the craft page to make the wired majorette doll (I have an affinity for them) and can't wait to make it! Thank you so much for sharing your memory with me. I am having such fun reading each story! Elizabeth

Me again! Just realized that there's more than one of you posting here! I found your blog due to Heidi's comment, but it's actually Lori's book! So, thank-you, Lori!
